True & Daring People

Celia & Hennie Bosman, Proprietors & Winemaker

True & Daring was founded on the belief that the winery would stay true to one
grape and be daring enough to take on Riesling, and only Riesling,

as the wine they produce.
Convictions of True & Daring

True & Daring has proven that through dedication and specialization,
superior Riesling can come from the southern hemisphere.

Winemaking

True & Daring is cool fermented in stainless steel tanks until the wine is almost dry,
followed by 6 months of lees aging for a richer mouth feel and greater complexity.
Bottle aging in the True & Daring cellar produces classic, complex secondary

Riesling aromas and flavors.

Accolades & Media Comments

5 Stars (95 Points) - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
The bouquet is instantly appealing with lemon curd, mandarin, honey and spice characters, which lead to a
powerfully expressed palate that is delectable and engaging. There's a hint of sweetness as well as firm acidity,
making the wine juicy and mouth-watering, and finishes superbly long and satisfying. At its best: now to 2020.

Peter Saunders, New Zealand Wine Critic:
“Bold style, tasting dry and showing some body. Pour and allow to open in the wine glass and the Riesling
aromatics glow. A serious statement from Waipara grapes showing the best of serious Riesling. Lovely while young
and continuing to open. No hurry into 2018.”
