Really smoky and iodine rich. This has to be one of Scotland's most characterful drams. Not for the faint hearted. Laphroaig are known for their medicinal malts, and the classic 10 year old is no exception.
This opens on big, smoky peat notes. There are spices, some saltiness, and hints of iodine.
Big oak, smoky and salty flavours remind you of the sea. Hints of vanilla give way to savoury tar notes, building up with an iodine complexity.
