Region: Hawkes Bay
We handpicked then gently whole bunch pressed our Merlot and Syrah on the 14th March and 28th March respectively. The berries surrendered a pale pink juice that was transferred into stainless steel tanks for cold settling. We then racked the clear juice and inoculated both tanks with our special rosé yeast. During fermentation we blended our Merlot and Syrah Rosé portions and a little bit of magic happened.
The wine is a very pretty pale pink with aromas of strawberries, raspberries, watermelon, and subtle floral notes. A refreshing entry makes way for enormous amounts of soft red fruit flavours that linger forever on the palate.

This is a drier style rose that is perfect chilled on a summer’s day under a shady tree or paired with Gravlax salmon… yum!
